Gospel Impact

As we seek to provide quality education to our students, we desire to have clear gospel impact in the communities we are serving. Please pray that our ministry would push back darkness around the world, one gospel-saturated school at a time.

We have a great opportunity to not only bring the gospel to our students daily, but their families as well. Please pray for opportunities to share the gospel and for open hearts when sharing. Pray that the Lord would be at work in the lives of our students and their families.

GEM Teachers & Staff

GEM teachers and staff have the ability to impact the lives of their students and families everyday, as they weave the gospel into each aspect of the school day. Please pray for the teachers and staff to be the light of Christ and share His love in everything they do. Pray that they would be fueled and refreshed by rich time in God’s Word and in prayer daily. Pray for patient and humble hearts, faithful servants, and minds that are centered on the Lord as they serve Him.

In August of 2024, GEM celebrates thirteen years as a ministry. The Lord is so faithful and kind, and through His provisions over the years, we have seen the mission of GEM grow and have been able to impact the hearts and minds of many students and their families.

Local Churches

As we serve the communities around our schools, we want to pray for the local churches in the area. Please pray that the churches surrounding our schools would have solid doctrine and clearly preach the gospel each week. Pray for church leaders to have wisdom and discernment as they pursue families in the community, and pray for favor on the local churches as they minister to people. Pray that a godly community would grow and flourish as the Word of God is rightly taught.

Schools in Mexico

We have three schools in Mexico – Manantial, La Luz, and Cornerstone. We are excited for this year as our teachers and staff have another opportunity to teach and serve our students and school families. Please pray for our school principals as they lead this year, and pray for our teachers to be effective ministers of the gospel in their classrooms. Pray that these schools would see real heart change this year in students and their families, as a result of their faithfulness to the gospel each day.

Schools in Colombia

Our school in Colombia began at the beginning of 2022 as a preschool. As this school is getting established, pray for the school to be a light in the community. Pray that the reputation surrounding the school would be that of great compassion and love for students, quality education, and a joy that is unlike any other. Pray that people would be drawn to the school, and pray for real gospel impact to occur in the hearts of the students that are taught there each day.

Schools in Uganda

Our school in Uganda, Bridgeway, has been faithfully serving students since 2019. Please pray for our school principal, Felix, and his family as they humbly lead and serve their community through education. Felix is also a local pastor, so please be praying for him as he shepherds the local church in his town as well. Pray that the gospel would penetrate the hearts of students and families in the community, and pray that heart change would lead to right leadership in the local government surrounding the school.

New GEM Opportunities

GEM’s mission is to use quality education to plant seeds of the gospel in the hearts of children and their families around the world. This is done through planting schools. The Lord had been gracious and faithful in the planting of five GEM schools. Our goal is to continue planting schools around the world and eventually have over one thousand gospel-saturated schools. Pray that God would continue to open doors for GEM schools to be planted. In this, we pray that the Lord would bring the right leaders for each project, teachers to fill each new school, the right partnerships in communities, the necessary finances, and students to be a part of the schools.

Student Sponsorship

In order to make all GEM schools affordable, we have student sponsorships. This allows people to partner with GEM on a monthly basis to assist in paying for a student’s education. Please pray that the desire to partner with GEM in this way would grow in people and we would be able to have our students sponsored and cared for by our sponsors. Also, pray that our sponsors would feel encouraged and blessed, as they give and pray for their student(s).

GEM Recruitment

The area of recruitment is very important, like many other areas within GEM. We need gifted teachers that are passionately following Jesus and have a desire to share the love of Christ each and every day to send to our schools. Our missionary teachers are able to partner with national teachers to best serve our students. Please pray that the Lord would lead the right people to come and serve with GEM in this capacity.

GEM’s Finances

Being in ministry we have learned very quickly that the Lord is in control. Pray for a deep trust in the Lord when it comes to finances, and pray that God would bring more donors to grow our ministry. Pray that our every need would be met as a ministry, so that we may rightly and best serve our students and their families around the world.
